Amanda Johnson | Dressage training/Lessons

Amanda is an USDF Bronze, Silver and Gold medalist. Amanda and her self trained horse, Glissade, competed in the North American Young Riders Championships for USDF Region 4 in 1999-2001, winning the consolation final in 2001. In 2001, they also placed third in the FEI Young Riders Individual Test at the USET Festival of Champions. Amanda and Glissade competed in the USDF Region 4 Championships through Grand Prix throughout the years won the Prix St. George, I-1, I-2, Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle. On Pip, owned by Barrie Anderson, she has competed at every level from Training Level to Intermediare I and is schooling Grand Prix.
Amanda has won numerous USDF Year End Awards including third place USDF Horse of the Year at I-1 and eleventh place USDF HOY at I-2. She also won the 2005 USDF Musical Freestyle Challenge at Third Level. She was a participant in the 2002 Dressage Foundation Advanced Young Rider Olympic Dream Program, the Hilltop Farm Young Horse Trainers Symposium, the USDF Graduate Young Rider Program, the 2005 USEF Judges Forum, the 2005 All American Freestyle Symposium and the 2006 USDF National Symposium with Ingrid Klimke.

Amanda was a working student for George Williams at Tempel Farms during the summers of 1999-2001 and has ridden in clinics with Conrad Schumacher from 1997 to the present. She has also ridden with other clinicians such as Volker Brommann, Walter Zettl, Cindy Ishoy, Neil Ishoy, Steffen Peters, Gerhard Politz, Colonel Christian Carde, Robert Dover, Susanne Von Dietze, Lars Peterson, Christine Traurig and Mette Rosencranz. Amanda Johnson graduated from the University Of Iowa College Of Engineering with a BSE in Industrial Engineering in May of 2004. Amanda has coached riders to Regional Championships from Training Level through Prix St. Georges. Her students have received high point and year-end awards from Training Level to FEI, as well as their USDF bronze and silver medals. She accepts into training all breeds of horses and levels of riders.
